Jenn dragged Wes to see a Japanese murder mystery
…with a twist.

Shijinso no Satsujin (Murders at the House of the Dead) is a mystery novel that won a ton of awards in Japan, including the This Mystery is Excellent! award in 2018.

Jenn read the novel in 2019 (sadly only out in Japanese) and became royally hooked! So when the movie and manga adaptations came out, she just had to drag her very confused spouse along for the ride!

Otafu Susume is the nickname for Recommendations for my Otaku Spouse.

It comes from the Japanese “otaku” (geek), “fufu” (husband & wife) and “susume” (recommendation).
